This is an album jam packed with music that connects with the listener and the band surrounding Connie’s vocals provides a backdrop of a jaw droppingly good array of tones, textures and rhythmic punctuation to the lyrics. The band that Connie has decided to hug on the album are her husband and brilliant bassist Terry Harris, completing the vibe of the rhythmic backdrop is Roy Martin’s drumming and the third of the trio is Steve Wright with his generosity of blues guitar shaping every track. The album has been produced by Steve Wright who has mixed the cocktail of sounds into a perfectly formed album with the help of Wayne Proctor at his House Of Tone Productions.

CONNIE LUSH BAND        New Album

Press Release

After entertaining audiences in 30 countries throughout the world in her 20 year, award winning career, Connie has arrived at a new beginning…

After an enforced absence from the road because of a broken foot, it ended up being a natural pause and from that, a new paragraph has begun in her already sparkling career.

She has a new band, new producer, new material, a new album and a renewed enthusiasm to share it with the world.

Within the last year Connie and her long time professional (and personal) partner Terry Harris on bass, have been joined by guitarist, composer, producer Steve Wright  and drummer Roy Martin in their touring band.

Roy, as a freelance drummer, has had a long and varied career recording and touring worldwide with artists such as Snowy White, Aretha Franklin, James Morrison, Barclay James Harvest and French superstar Patricia Kaas.

Steve, as well as adding his stunning guitar playing to artists such as John O’Leary & Sugarkane  amongst others,  has had a successful career as a TV and film composer. He  has also been the man responsible (along with mix partner Wayne Proctor) for the sound of recent albums by Oli Brown, King King, Aynsley Lister and Brothers Groove, mixing them at his beautiful home studio, Y Dream Studios in the Snowdonia National Park, North Wales.

This is where Connie, Terry, Steve and Roy camped out to write new material during the summer of 2014 and over the course of the last 12 months have produced an album cram packed full of classy, classic songwriting which perfectly showcases Connie’s ever- soulful world class voice.

The album is now ready to be unleashed onto the public and the songs to be given the live treatment at the upcoming Connie Lush Band shows.  It’s a new direction, a new start for Connie.

A Renaissance….

Once you hear the new songs and see her live, you are sure to want to come along with her for the ride.
